According to the tweet below from an application manager at Samsung, we can expect to see video calling in Google Talk (the chat version of GMail, so it's all the same what he calls it) in just about 2 weeks at Google I/O. It's already a possibility on Honeycomb tablets so there's no reason not to believe it'll happen sooner rather than later on phones too. As for the naming of the upcoming Gingerbread update, I would have liked to see 2.4 with a ton of new goodies, but I guess we'll take whatever we can at this point. If you're lucky to have gotten the Nexus S you should be getting the update with video within days of I/O probably; others may have to wait for their manufacturer to be so kind as to include it (unless it's doable under 2.3.3 and just a matter of updating the Talk app) We'll keep you posted when we know more.
